Plain Sailing - Mor Elian (Fever AM)

From the age of 8 years old, dance music has been a part of Mor Elian's life. Inspired by her older sisters partying in clubs and car shops in their home of Tel Aviv, she had a stint in a local skate shop which allowed her to meet people from the local music community who would come in to put flyers up for shows and instigated an early obsession with buying and collecting records.

She has since gone on to appear on labels such as Delta Funktionen, LA-4A, Prime Numbers, Hypercolour, Final Sessions and her own Fever AM (ran alongside Rhyw) providing her own distinctive take on contemporary electro and techno.

She also promotes LA based party Into The Woods, a concept that started with Jimmy Maheras when she moved to the American city from Israel. Here she would book DJs such as K-hand, Noncompliant and Andrés; artists that weren't generally getting gigs in LA.

Using a studio in Berlin, Mor Elian has developed a sharp awareness for sound and a passion for supporting emerging artists. She has lived through many of dance music cycles over the last 20 years - trance in Tel Aviv, the rave scene in LA, minimal in Berlin and the current cycle of modern electro - using all of this to create one of the most exciting sounds to emerge in recent years.

She can be found regularly going b2b with artists like Ben UFO and has recently featured in Resident Advisors prolific Breaking Through series (where all this information came from).

Joining Elian on the night will be Born Sleepy bossman Optmst - who shares Elian's enthusiasm for supporting emerging artists - having put out a compilation record last year featuring some of Ireland's best rising talents.
