By becoming a Student Officer you will represent over 24,000 students, make real decisions that make a real impact on students’ lives and lead the change.

Full-Time Student Officer Post

Step 1
Read the information in our Full-Time Student Officer Candidate Info Pack

It has lots of info which will help you create a manifesto, understand how to campaign and keep you within the rules.

Step 2
Do your homework
Get a real understanding of what the job involves. Knowledge is power:

Step 3
Find two students to support you
Find a student to propose you and one to second you. Just remember - they must be registered students of the University, and they can’t propose or second anyone else running for the same role as you.

Step 4
Submit your documents
Submit all of the below documents to the Student Voice Team (on behalf of the Returning Officer), 2nd Floor, Students' Union between 9am, Mon 7 Jan - 5pm, Wed 13 Feb. Everything must be submitted in one visit - documentation won't be accepted on an 'item by item' basis.

Visit QOL between 9am, Mon 7 Jan - 5pm, Wed 13 Feb and complete the form to nominate yourself for a Part-Time Student Officer post.
