I have passed this comment onto the Entertainments Manager who will speak directly to the DJ's. We try to cater for everyone's taste in music and that is why there are sometimes songs played from the 80's and beyond.


"Disabled toilets on ground floor never have any soap in the dispenser. This has been the case for years!"
This issue has been raised with the Retail and Premises Manager who has stated that this will be on the Cleaners daily checklist. Hopefully this will not be an issue in the future.


"Keep the shop open later for the people in clubs"
This was trialled over a year ago and was not cost effective. However, the SU Shop is currently being trialled with Sunday opening and if this proves successful then the Manager is happy to reconsider extending the opening hours.


"Install Dyson Airblades in every toilet they are more energy efficient"
We are getting a Dyson on trial for the mens ground floor toilet and we may install them in the other areas depending on the success of the trial. Lorraine Meneilly, Retail & Premises Manager


"I would like to suggest that the union provide some kind of taxi/shuttle bus service for staff who work late at night so that they arent faced with the prospect of having to walk home past 11pm"
This has been looked into extensively as there are many points which need to be covered (routes, residents, noise pollution, which bus company etc), but a shuttle bus service on the main Monday and Thursday nights should come into effect in February. We are also currently looking into new contracts for taxi provision and hope that this will include a preferential service for all staff. "Could do with a couple of vending machines for when shop is shut"
Vending machines will be placed in The Space in the very near future. The delay was due to an inadequate number of available power sockets. 4 have now been installed for this purpose. "Is it too much to ask that the toilets be cleaned occasionally? Every time I use them they are absolutely vile"
Firstly, let me apologise on behalf of the SU for your bad experience in the toilets. As mentioned in some of the other feedback comments, we are endeavouring to ensure that the toilets are cleaned on a more regular basis. We are also adding in more regular checks of the toilets, so hopefully we will get these issues ironed out asap. Marketing Manager


"This has to be said. Why are the toilets closed in the union on Thursday nights before the discos even over? Its ridiculous. Over a dozen people got turned away from a call of nature just cos of this new nonsensical restriction. 2 oclock makes sense but no sooner"
