Meet The Team

Lucia Kearney
SU Volunteer Manager

Hi! I lead the SU Volunteer team and co-ordinate the Jump IN programme. It’s my job to help you find your perfect volunteering opportunity, provide opportunities for you to develop your skills and ensure that your volunteering is recognised.

The best thing about my role? Well I have two favourite parts:

  1. Supporting students to make a positive change to the world whilst boosting their skills, confidence and wellbeing at the same time.
  2. No two days are the same in SU Volunteer, we are constantly developing our work in relation to student and community needs, meaning I am very lucky to be in such an innovative and rewarding role.

If you have a volunteering query, you can get in touch with me on: su.volunteer@qub.ac.uk

Vivienne Courtney
Volunteer Support Officer

Hi there. I co-ordinate the Homework Clubs Programme, giving students the chance to provide homework support to children and young people living in areas of educational underachievement.

Volunteering with Homework Clubs is a great opportunity to make a positive change in your community by improving the academic achievement of local children and young people, building their confidence and raising their aspirations whilst getting hands-on experience, developing your skills and gaining recognition!

If you have a Homework Clubs query, just get in touch with me on: su.homeworkclubs@qub.ac.uk
