Media Week is back! Join us at Queen's Students' Union for free masterclasses, discussion panels and fun events! 

Monday 22 April

Production Masterclass with Hilary Oliver. SU Enterprise Suite, 4pm

Queen’s alumni Hilary Oliver, a familiar voice on Radio 2 and CEO of Cameo Productions, will speak about her experiences at Queen’s and how she became involved in production, as well as her experiences working along the likes of George Clooney, Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington.

Tuesday 23 April

RTS Futures Discussion with Sarah Clarke, UTV Live Presenter. SU Enterprise Suite, 1pm

Queen’s alumni Sarah Clarke will be interviewed by Brooke Allen QUB student and committee member of RTS Futures. Come along to hear Sarah’s experiences at UTV, find out how she became involved in presenting and what advice she would give to students aspiring towards a career in journalism.

Journalism Masterclass with Conor O’Clery. SU Enterprise, 4pm

Queen’s alumnis and honourary graduate, journalist and author Conor O’Clery was twice Journalist of the Year in Ireland. He is the author of several books, including an account of his experiences as a foreign correspondent, ‘May You Live In Interesting Times’; a biography of American philanthropist Cheeky Feeney, ‘The Billionaire Who Wasn’t’; and his most recent book ‘Moscow 25, 1991: The Last Day of the Soviet Union’. Hear Conor’s experiences at the ‘Gown’ newspaper at Queen’s, and those as a foreign correspondent based in London, Washington, Beijing and New York.

Guests: Journalist and author Eamonn Mallie, Stratagem director Quintin Oliver, Alan Meban (Alan In Belfast), recent QUB graduate and blogger and cartoonist Brian Spencer.
