Queen's Business students make it to the final!
Congratulations to Paul Loughran 2nd year Business & IT and Mogue Lawless 2nd year Business Management who have earned a place to present at the UK finals of a IN Bev Best Beer Competition organised by multi-national brewing conglomerate AB InBev. As the name suggests, the student teams were tasked with creating a concept for a new beer that reflected the community and culture of their university as well as incorporating sustainability issues. The duo have to prepare an eight-minute presentation and a four-minute DVD showcasing their product and present it at the final in Luton on 20 March for their chance to net a €4000 prize.
The competition specified the entry should be closely linked to the ethos of the University, capturing the spirit of what makes the University a unique learning experience and institution of research excellence.
The eight best project plans from each country (the UK and Belgium) which satisfy the competition criteria will be selected to participate in a regional heat where you will present your ideas. Both heats will take place in March 2013 in the UK and Belgium and at each heat there is €4,000 to be won.
