Green Velvet set for first Shine of 2014!

Shine returns on Saturday 1 March for the first event of the year.

Green velvet makes a welcome return to the Mandela Hall headline slot with support appearances from Midland, Dense & Pika, Phil Kieran, Space Dimension Controller, and many more.

Green Velvet is a techno pioneer in the true sense.  Over the course of three decades he has remained a crucial exponent of electronic music, constantly reinventing his style and image, and constantly delivering, both in terms of productions, and live shows.

Harry Agius, AKA Midland, has come a long way in the last five years, and in 2013, Mixmag named him as one of the standout stars of the year. He has truly broken through to the electronic music mainstream, with a number of quality underground releases, including the hit 'Trace', while his sets are diverse and experimental, but rooted in House and Techno.

Room two will also see the Belfast debut of another breakthrough act of 2013, Dense & Pika. The duo is made up of Glimpse and Alex Jones, two highly successful solo artists. The new techno act released a series of attention grabbing records leading them to being signed to Scuba's imprint Hotflush, the iconic label which released the widely acclaimed track 'Colt', a powerful, smile-inducing piano laden Techno masterpiece.
