Strike Action
23 January 14
Three strikes, each lasting two hours in duration, have been called by the UCU trade union at Queen's to take place on:
- Thursday, 23 January 2014 from 11am – 1pm
- Tuesday, 28 January 2014 from 2pm – 4pm
- Monday, 10 February 2014 from 9am – 11am
PLEASE NOTE THAT SEMESTER ONE EXAMINATIONS ARE NOT AFFECTED BY THIS INDUSTRIAL ACTION.
Queen's Students' Union offers its support to the strike and values the contribution of academic and support staff to Higher Education. We hope for a speedy resolution to the ongoing dispute and believe that Higher Education should be properly funded. This should include appropriate pay and conditions for academic and support staff.
An open meeting took place today (Thursday) at 1pm in Lecture Room 01/052, Lanyon South - this meeting was addressed by your Student Officer Campaigns & Communications, Connor Daly.
