Calling all volunteers – are you volunteering this summer?

Volunteer SU, in your Students’ Union, works in partnership with Volunteer Now. This means that all your volunteering efforts can be rewarded through the Millennium Volunteers Award - an official recognition of volunteering backed by the Department of Education. Awesome!

If you’re volunteering this summer and would like to be featured on the Volunteer Now website, all you have to do is email a picture along with a short blurb to youth@volunteernow.co.uk. Volunteer Now want to profile young volunteers over the summer months, so whether you’re heading to Peru or helping in a charity shop they want to know!

Volunteering is not only a great way to give back to your community, but it can also give you the skills and training you need to get a job when you graduate.
