INVENT 2014 is now open!

Northern Ireland Science Park CONNECT are looking for Northern Ireland’s new heroes of innovation, in partnership with Bank of Ireland. If you have an innovative idea, apply today.  There are major cash prizes up for grabs.

INVENT 2014 is an opportunity for anyone with an innovative idea, from garden shed inventors and engineers, to sparky scientists and high tech whizz kids with a new gaming or app idea.

Successful applicants in six categories will take part in a unique six month programme which will see their ideas challenged, refined and cultivated, ready to launch a successful start-up business and compete for a share of a £33,000 prize fund. Winners are announced in front of 600 guests on Northern Ireland’s biggest night in tech – the INVENT Awards at the iconic Titanic Belfast on 2 October 2014.

We are looking for ideas in the following categories:

• Creative Media and Consumer Internet
• Agri-Food
• Life and Health
• Engineering
• Electronics
• Enterprise Software
•  *Also a prize for best Student team
