Radar - Seven Summits, Master & Dog and Viola Dust.

15 May 14

Three great bands perform live TONIGHT in your very own Speakeasy. This week we have Seven Summits, Master & Dog and Viola Dust.

SEVEN SUMMITS

From their origins as a Belfast based band with a rotating membership, Seven Summits have firmly established themselves as one of the most exciting and consistent bands operating in Northern Ireland.

With a line-up solidifying on Rory Nellis (guitar & vocals), Joe McGurgan (bass & vocals), Dominic Coyle (guitar, vocals & keyboards) and Joe Laverty (drums), the band have created a finely crafted second album - Fossils.

With shades of power pop bands like Weezer and Grandaddy, the record captures that perfect interplay of guitars, bass, drums and keyboards. The characters carved out on this record have fought for their little corner of the world, and do so with a smile, or with a tear in the eye.

The world is never perfect, but Fossils finds a selection of people doing their best to make things better. As guitars chime and synths spiral into infinity, Fossils is the sound of a band looking at the past, and walking into the future.

MASTER & DOG

Master & Dog are made up of band members: Kevin Carlisle (Drums, percussion & vox), Philip Watts d'Alton (guitar, vox, keys, bass, mandolin), Ger Gormley (bass, vox, guitar, mandolin, keys) and Walter (guitar, vox, keys, mandolin and drums). They are influenced by a wide variety of genres and are unafraid to mix things up when it comes to recording and playing live. 'With a dazzling array of instruments and songwriting that has been fine-tuned to a striking degree, the foursome's laidback sound, coupled with gritty lyrics, recalls The Lemonheads' (Irish Times) and fellow Northern band Snow Patrol.

This is a band unafraid to match their musical peers and they know how to write great music!

They'll also be joined by VIOLA DUST. A night not to be missed.

It's free in - see you there!
