Hey Neighbour

31 October 14

Your Student Officer Community, Chloe Patterson has launched her fab new ‘Hey Neighbour’ campaign.

It aims to better the relationships between the students who live in the South Belfast community and their neighbours by encouraging mutual respect and consideration. It also aims to shout about all the wonderful things students do so that the community knows just how great they truly are.

For this Chloe needs some amazing Street Reps to become champions of the campaign.

As a Street Rep you will be the first point of contact, by an anonymous email, for both students and residents in key areas across South Belfast to help if there’s a problem. Chloe will of course always be there to help and support you as your Student Officer Community and you’ll liaise with her to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.

You’ll also get to meet tons of great new people, be trained in loads of useful areas like mediation and management, become a point of contact to help both students and residents in your area, get the opportunity to start up your own initiatives to implement wider community change, and have your volunteering recognised by The Department of Education through Millennium Volunteers!

We need Street Reps for each of the following key areas of South Belfast: The Holylands; Stranmillis; Botanic; Lisburn Road; Malone Road; and Eglantine.

If you'd like to apply to become a Street Rep, please fill in this Street Rep Application Formand email it to volunteer@qub.ac.uk by Friday 14 November. You can also find out more about the campaign here.

If you don’t want to become a Street Rep but still would like to get involved - make sure to keep an eye out for more info to come about the different initiatives that you can help out with!
