School & Course Reps

8 October 14

No matter who you are, where you’re from, what School you’re in or what type of student you are, you have the power to change stuff – so get stuck in...

Throw yourself into the mix to become a School or Course Rep, or vote for someone you think would be great.

Your Reps are here to help and support you and to represent you and your views, to change the stuff that is important to you.

Over 22 School Reps and over 570 Course Reps are elected every year to help and support you.

School Reps:

  • Represent you on lots of important Committees in the University
  • Raise the big issues about your School on your behalf to the top dogs in your School, making sure that your voice is heard
  • Work in between meetings to deal with any issues within your School as they arise
  • Work with your Course Rep and the Student Officer for Education, Hannah Niblock, in your Students’ Union to improve the student experience for all students in your School

Course Reps:

  • Represent you at Staff Student Consultative Committee (SSCC) meetings in your School
  • Raise issues about your course on your behalf at SSCCs
  • Work in between SSCC meetings to deal with any issues with your course as they arise
  • If you fancy yourself as a super student and would like to represent your classmates, you can!

Keep an eye out in your School for the chance to throw yourself into the mix for election as a School or Course Rep*.

Plus, vote for the people you think would be great as your School and Course Reps. Vote for your School Rep on QOL on 21 Oct, and for your Course Rep in your class**!
