Tributes to Former Student Union President - Ian Brick

Everyone at Queen’s Students’ Union is saddened to hear of the recent death of Dr Ian Brick.

Ian, who was our Union President in 1967-68, experienced great success in the pharmaceutical business world and was based in the United States for much of his working life. He was the Chairman of the Friends of Queen’s University in the USA, and was also a generous benefactor of the University, contributing financial assistance to developmental projects including the refurbishment of the Students’ Union in 2005-07.  The bar area in the Speakeasy was subsequently named ‘Brickie’s Bar’ in his honour.
