What we want to change and why we want to change it

The words you use can really impact others. We use words and phrases every day without thinking about their true meaning and the effect they can have on others. The Wash Your Mouth Out campaign focuses on the power of our words and asks everyone to consider the language they use.

We want to raise awareness of how language can offend and encourage our students to choose more inclusive words to communicate with each other.

And yes we know that everyone is saying it but does that really make it ok?

Together we can change how we view language.
